Happy Christmas and a Merry Marine and Freshwater Research Year!
Here is a picture of the research vessel Bjarni Sæmundsson HF 30, which has served marine research off Iceland since 1970. It will be decommissioned at the beginning of next year when a new research vessel, Thorunn Thordardottir HF 300, arrives to the country. Bjarni will be missed, but Thorunn is awaited with great anticipation.
Everyone at the Marine and Freshwater Research Institute would like to thank you all for cooperation and pleasant communiaction in 2024.
