BIODICE first official workshop

BIODICE was created in the winter 2020-21 with the aim of creating a network of individuals and institutions in Iceland with the common goal of promoting research, greater awareness and understanding of biodiversity in Iceland.

ICES will release its advice on fishing opportunities in 2022 for widely distributed pelagic fish stocks, including NE-Atlantic mackerel, blue whiting and Norwegian spring-spawning herring, next Thursday, 30 September

MFRI's advice on fishing opportunities for 29 fish stocks in Icelandic waters in the 2021/2022 quota year has been released

MFRI advises a TAC of 222 737 t of cod for the 2021/2022 fishing year. The advised TAC is a 13% decline from the current fishing year's TAC of 256 593 t. The advice is based on the management plan adopted by Icelandic authorities
